Local Delicacies
Influenced by different cooking style from all over the world, it is hard to pick a true "Singapore" food because there are too many choices. However, Nyonya dishes which is combine with Chinese and Malay cuisines together are definitely the most popular local food and worth trying in Singapore.
Volunteering
Local residents are willing to do volunteer works on different festivals and events, and the community also provides related opportunities to them. For instance, each year of Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix, it has over 1,100 volunteer race officials throughout the 5,065km street circuit. In 2013, there were 150 positions in key trackside functions provided to volunteers.
Multicultural Community
Singapore's indigenous people were the Malays, but after the arrival of Sir Stamford Raffles and the establishment of a British East India Company, Singapore became the draw for thousands of immigrants. Most of these people contribute to the society by their own unique ways.
We Are One Singapore
It is a team of dedicated individuals who believe that empowering community events will have positive impacts to the society. Also, it believes community events are what people need. Hence, the team helps on raising the fund for the community events as well.
Student Community
There are 16 universities and colleges in Singapore. It owes high positions to its related and diversed student community, high rating from graduate employers, and a strong overall score in the “desirability” category. The most famous one can be National University of Singapore, which is Singapore's flagship higher education institution. It has been ranked as Asia's top university by Quaquarelli Symonds University Rankings in 2015.
